Fundraising Officers

The fundraising officer will report to the book-keeper. The fundraising officer will lead on a range of fundraising activities including organising events, building relationships with donors, maintaining donor data and communications. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Develop a fundraising plan
- Develop and design fundraising materials, including fundraising leaflets, sponsorship packages, letters to donors, etc.
- Identify and develop new fundraising activities and events
- Promote the work of QCJ through presentations, the writing of PR materials, press releases, advertisements and media campaigns
- Engage, develop and maintain professional relationships with individual members of the local and international community, local companies and other community organisations in order to promote one off donations and regular giving
- Maintain appropriate records to ensure fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely acknowledgements, thank you letters, donor reports, etc
- Research, collate and analyse data that allows for the identification of new fundraising income streams; and donor & volunteer profiles, as well as informing fundraising performance
- Prepare, submit and follow-up new fundraising applications and initiatives
- Assist in writing reports and plans which inform decision making
- Support capital fundraising appeals as and when they arise
