Book-keeper

Number Needed: 1
The book-keeper reports directly to the Executive Director. The book-keeper is responsible for creating and recording financial transactions and creating financial reports. Specific responsibilities include:
  1. Create financial transactions by posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices, cash receipts, and supplier invoices, etc.
  2. Reconcile all bank accounts monthly to ensure their accuracy
  3. Make and/or verify bank deposits
  4. Issue financial statements
  5. Distribue petty cash as is necessary (transportation expense, domain name renewal, website maintenance, etc.) with proper documentation
  6. Maintain a petty cash fund
  7. Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
  8. Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  9. Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements
  10. Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  11. Maintain the annual budget
  12. Prepare payroll and stipend allocations
