Book-keeper

The book-keeper reports directly to the Executive Director. The book-keeper is responsible for creating and recording financial transactions and creating financial reports. Specific responsibilities include:
- Create financial transactions by posting information to accounting journals or accounting software from such source documents as invoices, cash receipts, and supplier invoices, etc.
- Reconcile all bank accounts monthly to ensure their accuracy
- Make and/or verify bank deposits
- Issue financial statements
- Distribue petty cash as is necessary (transportation expense, domain name renewal, website maintenance, etc.) with proper documentation
- Maintain a petty cash fund
- Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
- Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
- Calculate and issue financial analysis of the financial statements
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Maintain the annual budget
- Prepare payroll and stipend allocations
